Communication Problems, finance, support and domain transfers to happen more smoothly

A few months ago we made a radical switch to move all finance, support and domain transfers to our team in Manila. To say that some of our customers have been frustrated would be an understatement.

The time difference has been a major hassle. We’d send an email to them, only to get a question back as a reply, which we would reply to the next day and on and on it went. It could take a week to do something that would normally take only hours.

I’m happy to announce that we have switched our entire operations in the Philippines to a night shift (for them) so that everyone in our organization is working on the same schedule.

We are now having regular IM, Skype and telephone conversations and progress is happening much faster.

I apologize to all of you that have had to deal with delays. Ultimately it is my responsibility and I’m sorry that it has taken us so long to make the change.

The team there is great. We’ve spent years developing relationships there and have smart, capable and willing people. It was really only a communication problem. That problem has now been solved.
