Happy Halloween to everyone! We had a smallish Halloween party on Friday night, although I can’t share the costume I wore – apparently it’s not blog-appropriate. Here are some weekend updates from the domain business. I had a great time at the IDN Event in the city last night. I plan to post a full [...]

Those that know me know I read a lot. I suppose at times I come across like Cliff from the 80s hit sitcom Cheers. By that I mean, I’m known to force often useless knowledge on unwilling subjects. Putting that last comment aside for a moment, I’d also like to say that I’ve decided to [...]

From time to time I will make a list of upcoming expired domain names over at NameJET.com to keep an eye on and here is another one of those lists! All domains have a range of when the auction starts (when you need to place a minimum bid ($69) to be in the private auction). [...]

BuyThePillow.com! Can’t get any more straightforward than that with a domain name! With Sobakawa® not being the easiest to remember, let alone pronounce, the team has done some thinking and brought this cloud pillow™ to the market with such a make sense domain name in the TV ads that I had to write about it!

Morning Folks!! So now everyone can clearly see that valuating domains by ppc earnings was silly at best. There was NEVER any correlation though many correlated them anyway. Made no sense then and I wrote about it time and time again. Now it is clear what I meant. So folks always ask how do you valuate a domain name? My answer is always at a bare minimum, compare to real world costs. That is a basis. That is a starting point. That is a foundation. That is before...

.CO enjoyed a wildly successful re-launch this past summer - now the .SO Registry hopes a little of that ccTLD magic will rub off on their extension too.
